Academic Advising for Students

The first-year experience is particularly important for new students to transit smoothly from high school to university as well as from pupil to self-directed learners, therefore each new student will be assigned an Academic Advisor who plays a crucial role not only as a professor to provide individualized advice on study planning but also help students tackle and mature from such developmental changes and challenges. Students could check on the CUSIS for the name of Academic Advisor assigned to them.

Throughout the several years of study in CUHK, the Academic Advisor will meet with students at least once a year to provide general advice on issues such as course selection, guided study and adaptation to University learning mode. The Academic Advisor is a resource person in his/ her Department/ Programme/ Division and can provide information on whole-person development opportunities to students or refer students to suitable units, if necessary.
