中大「手術機械人」奪大獎

中文大學致力推動醫學工程發展，舉辦全球首個「環球創新醫學工程設計大賽」，吸引來自五大洲共四十支隊伍參加。中大團隊最終憑「內窺鏡手術機械人」贏得金獎，其機械臂直徑只得三點八毫米，可於狹窄空間進行複雜動作，且鏡頭可與機械臂分開，令內窺鏡手術更易掌握和降低風險，例如減低穿腸風險。

實習記者周峻峰報道：中文大學一支機械與自動化工程學系團隊，設計出雙臂式內窺鏡手術機械人，每一個直徑僅3.8毫米，兩臂可同時夾住胃膜，一邊切除腫瘤，減少病人刺穿出血及縮短手術時間。團隊力壓40支來自五大洲的參賽隊伍，在中大舉辦的全球首個「環球創新醫學工程設計大賽」中獲得金獎、最佳香港隊伍獎及挑戰獎。

楊全盛期建平台築智慧城市

智慧城市聯盟召集人楊全盛熱心IT業發展，今年三月發起成立聯盟，他直指，本港現在仍未有智慧城市藍圖，的確較鄰近城市落後，但期望提供平台，為業界及政府擔任橋樑，推動智慧城市發展。他指，不時會將業界項目向政府推介，未來或會推出提供路面狀況資訊系統。楊全盛又認為，政府有部分法例未追上發展，應「拆牆」，同時可多採用本港科研作品作「先導計劃」（Pilot Project），方便業界發展，甚至走出香港。
