大專機械人賽 中大大贏家

每年一度的創科界盛事─“全港大專生機械人大賽”昨日假香港科學園圓滿舉行。今年吸引共11隊本地大學及大專院校的工程及資訊科技系學生組隊參賽，最後由中文大學的“巧奪天工”囊括冠軍、最佳工程設計獎、最佳團隊精神獎三個獎項，成為今屆比賽的大贏家，八月將代表香港出戰泰國曼谷舉行的亞太廣播聯盟機械人大賽2016（ABU Robocon 2016）。

中大生製「藍牙銀包」防盜奪獎

全球捲起創新科技熱潮，香港的大學生亦致力將其創新意念轉化成應用技術及項目。中文大學學生郭瑋強及劉柏林研發了「守護者科技─智能化隨身物品方案」，以藍牙芯片置於手袋或錢包中，再配合專屬手機應用程式通知功能，防止隨身物品遺失或被盜竊。有關作品於全國科技創新競賽「挑戰盃」的2016香港區選拔賽中創業類別獲得「一等獎」和最高榮譽「特等獎」，並將於11月底與全國大學生科創比拚。

中大生開發智能隨身物奪獎

由香港新一代文化協會主辦的「挑戰杯」全國賽香港區選拔賽昨日頒獎，中文大學畢業生憑「守護者科技─智能化隨身物品方案」獲得創業類別特等獎，其發明利用低耗電藍牙晶片，融入個人隨身物件中，防止丟失物件。得獎者將有機會代表香港出戰十一月於四川成都舉行的「創青春」全國大學生創業大賽。

Faculty 25th Anniversary Alumni Banquet Held at Silicon Valley

In celebration of the Faculty 25th anniversary, an alumni banquet was held on 26 May 2016 at Crowne Plaza San Jose-Silicon Valley Milpitas Krystal Ballroom.

The evening began with a welcoming reception, and the Dean of Engineering Prof. C. P. Wong with the two Associate Deans, Prof. Irwin King and Prof. John Lui, gave an update on the Faculty latest research development and achievement.

With the support of the CUHK Alumni Association of Silicon Valley, the banquet was well attended with over 50 alumni based in Silicon Valley, ELITE students from Hong Kong as well as some special guests including Prof. Philip Wong and Prof. Ada Poon from Standford.

最近，香港中文大學機械與自動化工程學系劉雲輝教授與他的團隊，歷時5年成功研發「視覺導航智慧搬運機器人系統」，并於去年成立初創企業，率先將此項研究成果應用於工業叉車，現已獲上海一家創投基金注資約1500萬元。
